I thought this would be elastic like a Lizard Skins protector but it is not. Bought the oversized and it's way too big. Wouldn't fit anything right anyway because the lack of stretch means it won't form fit to most tapered chainstays. Throwing away because it's cheaper than returning.

Good materials but sizing for your bike is very difficult. I got the oversize protector since the "regular" would probably not have covered the thickest part of the stay. Since the protector overlapped the velcro closures over part of the lenth, I added 3/4" stickon hook and loop velcro to the inside. This definitely improved the stability of the installed product. I added some old inner tube strips to the inside to prevent the Cordura from rubbing the paint. I also used zip ties to ensure closure. Though heavily modified, the protector looks fine, a lot better than the old inner tube approach that many use. The padding really quiets the chain slap and the protector has so far resisted cutting by the chain. My chain was really chewing up the stick-on protector installed by the manufacturer.

Not what I expected at all. I ordered the supersize and don't know what it would fit but it is way too big. I would return it for the lizard skin but it would cost me more to send it back than what it cost. So I will just suck up the cost and chock one up for an experience.
