I love this saddle. I own a Brooks B17 Imperial on my Xtracycle, and was considering a second for my Jamis touring bike but thought I'd give the Spoon a shot due to the great write-ups I had read. I am glad I did. It is different, indeed from the B17 Imperial, more agressive is the first thing I would note. It is okay for casual rides of a few miles but for more than that you'll need chamois. I prefer it on agressive, longer rides where it simply gives me the control I need while my weight is distributed more in my pedaling than in sitting on the perch. I just love it, and the brown looks nice on my touring bike with leather grip tape. It is nice not having cover it up or make sure it's locked up properly like my brooks. Very, very low maintenance.

Really looking forward to their new product, the SCOOP, which I have ordered for my fat bike.

I've had this saddle on my rigid 29er for a few months now. For the price, it's great. It is solidly constructed, not very heavy and looks really good in brown.

It's not perfect though. I am starting to notice that the brown polyurethane laminate is starting to peel towards the nose of the saddle. But the bigger issue is comfort. I can't say this is a comfortable saddle for me. I'm not sure if the so called "pressure relief channel" is really working, in fact I feel a lot of pressure where such a channel should be! Also it seems quite narrow, my sit bones rest right on the edges of the wings. I know everyone's butt is a different shape, but for me this saddle is pretty uncomfortable (and I never ride without padded shorts).

That being said, I'll probably keep using it. Ideally I'd have something a little better for when the trail gets rough, but it's a great value and is very stylish.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

This is a great high performance saddle for a great price. I bought this saddle for my Heckler awhile back, it worked so well I got a 2nd one for my rigid Trek 3500 disc project bike. Comfy saddle with a minimalist design. The WTB Speed V saddle it replaced was falling apart, after only a few seasons use and no crash damage. At 270 grams, The Spoon saddle is 45 grams light than my old saddle. I've put a few hundred miles on this saddle so far and it doesn't show 1 sign of wear.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

So I'm kinda new to the cycling scene, I got a bike because it seemed like a good way of transportation and since then I've grown more passionate about it. That being said I'm no expert on all things cycling but I know a good product when I see one. I use my bike for getting around town whether it's commuting to work, going to the store, or just for a days ride, and so far this saddle feels great! I haven't had it for too long maybe a few weeks but no complaints. I have nothing bad to say about it, and I don't think that will change.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

It's a great product in terms of support and fit, but has one issue. I found the cover (vinyl or leather) to be way too sticky (too much friction). If I ride it with loose bike shorts, they will bunch up. Also, need some adjustment after getting out of the saddle. Tight bike shorts reduce this issue, but it still has way too much friction compared to any saddle I've used. It's almost like rubber.

I found a way to relieve this issue until the saddle breaks in and loses some of this friction. I used automotive silicone spray (STP Son of a Gun) for dashboards, vinyl, rubber, etc. I've ridden it for over a week and it's still low friction. Hopefully this issue goes away with time and miles.

Comments about Charge Spoon Cromo Saddle:

This is a very good seat/saddle at a really nice price. Having used it now for a couple months I have noticed it is a good fit but has to be carefully adjusted. I normally use a flatter saddle so I can move around a lot when I climb on my Mountain Bike. This saddle is more for a locked/static riding style. It took a few good rides to fine tune the position but I've never gotten sore... just needed to be able to utilize the shape as much as possible. I am a little dissapointed in the durability. The scuff was my fault and part of MTB but still... happened a bit too easily. the small hole is not in a critcal area though. Just something to think about if you are always dragging your bike in and out of a vehicle or up against walls. Still... really nice value.

My first ride on this Spoon was a gift from the heavens to my butt. Give up the idea that you have to drop big bills for a nice seat. This one does the job and looks snappy doing it.
