Awesome Quality
I purchased this to replace my Niner cog that wore out in less than a year. I believe this has a much better tooth angle and holds the chain better. Although heavier than the alum alloy Niner, the weight is a nice trade-off for durability.

As good as it gets
I use several different Chris King SS cogs (18,19,20) for SS mtb, all of which are superb. I've worn out several 1/8th heavy duty chains and these cogs still look brand new. Expensive...but you get what you pay for and SS cogs are not worth skimping on.

PROS: Durable

Steel cogs for ss bikes
Do not buy aluminum cogs, they will warp quickly and you'll be replacing with steel, as well as your chain. The surlys are cheaper & stupid heavy. All the rest cost the sames so get the tried & true. Ive had good luck with these on finicky ss setups.

Worth the money!
after trying a couple cheaper cogs that wore quickly or were heavy, I learned the lesson many avid SSers told me, Chris King Cogs rock. Yes it is worth the money for light weight and long life. Very strong!

I currently have a 3/32 16t Godspeed single speed setup. Could this seamlessly replace that? Basically, is this also a 3/32"?

What size chain works best here?
Andrew G on Mar 4, 2017
BEST ANSWER: I personally like the 15. I put it on a hope pro 2 hub which is laces to a spank 28 rim and they are attached to a crypt keeper dj. If your using it to race maybe not the best as it is some what hard to start. If you are using it on a dj it is perfect to give you the extra little peddle if you need to between jumps if your not pro like me.
Can I use this cog with any hub or does it have to be a chris king hub?
A shopper on Jun 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This is std for hubs with 9 grooves. Other hubs may have treads or 3 groves, and it won't fit those of course.
