I was looking at the Surly LHT or Cross Check, the All-City Space Horse, and this bike, the Civia Kingfield. I chose the Kingfield for a few reasons. One, the price was on point (~$1050), JensonUSA matched, which was great. Two, internal gear hub and belt drive. While there's not been a ton written about the bike as far as reviews go, from the little I know, these are desirable upgrades. Three, aesthetics were on point as well. The bike is sharp. I'm not looking for anything flashy and nothing too serious, ala the LHT; probably one of the best there is for long commutes, I had to stick with the reality that I'm not trekking across the western US on this thing. Perhaps a 20m rt commute a few times a week. The Civia fit the bill.
