The Parker is designed for riders that want a stout but light/ tight bike they can use for dirt jumping and/ or trail riding. The Parker 3.0 features a dirt jump set up with an e13 chain guide and 20mm Maxle.
The Parker derived from Jamis’ XLT. The XLT was a huge hit amongst trail riders. Jamis beefed up the pivots, shock hardware, and bell crank. They also modified the rear triangle, and reined in the rear travel a bit. The Parker was born.

This bike is the best bang-for-your-buck that you will find anywhere. It can bomb downhills and corner with the best of them, as well as soar through the air with ease, yet still has the ability to be taken on the trail and not completely kill you. The 4" of travel feels like MUCH more. Now if you are riding with cross country riders then they will leave you behind on the uphills but you will leave them in the dust on the downhills and winding turn sections. Price for what you get is the overall best feature of this bike. It's hard to find another bike that can do what this bike can do for this amount of money.

The bike is excellent strong fast and just enough travel to really have fun on! I loved the bike despite the weight. It was an excellent dirt jumper with the forks lowered and a fast nimble critter on the free ride trails. It was a comfortable ride in fast steep conditions also very quick in and out of turns!

This is a great bike for its intended purpose. The 2:1 suspension ratio is magic at this travel level. Gives the illusion that there is much more travel than 100mm. The shorter travel allows for a little more efficient pedaling performance. The short seat tube kills this bikes chances of crossing over to a woods-wandering trail bike. Cannot get full leg extension. The bike wasn't designed to be a trail bike though, so used for Slopestyle, Downhill, Urban, Dirt Jump...it's fantastic.

I have the 2009 Parker 1, so it is a little different, but basically the same.
This is a good bike for the price. You can do anything on it; up, down, jump, everything. The components are good and the bike handles really well.
The only bad thing is that the chainstays are weak. I broke the chainstay after about a year. It broke right at the weld. The good thing was that everything was under warranty and the new part of the rear triangle was sent to me relatively quickly. Now the bike is doing good once again, and I can shred the brown pow.

My friend bought this bike a while back and he loves it! Super versatile bike. Raise the seat and do some xc or go shred a the local bike park jump trail. Has more of a dh bike geo on it but smaller suspension making this a jump trail shredder!

Bike has fork issues but the warranty dept. is getting it worked out. Bike is very plush and climbs alot better than I thought it would.

Great bike while it lasted. brake side chainstay snapped on me on a completely smooth transfer though. should not have happened. found out it is a design flaw in the frame. Warranty covered it though. just a matter of how often it is going to fail now.
