This bike truly does it all; climbs extremely well and amazing going down hill.
This model didn't come with the TALAS fork which can be reduced. This is standard in the new 2013 models. This will make the bike climb even better I'm sure.
I did change the drive terrain to a 2 x 10 which was amazing as well.

This bike will give you the same frame aas the expensive versions and the ride quality is pretty dang close. Unless you race, this is the best bang for the buck of the build options and boy is this bike fun. I dare you to not have a huge smile while riding this one.
Standing and pedalling is a dream and the descending is tons of fun too. Just don't think of this as a downhill bike as the travel gets used all up on medium sized hits. For general trails though, this bike is one of the best.
There are ultimately some parts on this build that you will probably change out eventually, but this is a great place to start.

loved this bike from the first pedal stroke uphill, and smitten with it decends capabilities.Only had a issue with the setup of the front deraileur (3x10) contacting a pivot bolt when cycling the susp. just needed extra tweeking on the low limit. Seems like the assembler neglected to cycle the susp. to check clearances.
