Comments about Continental Mountain King II 29 Racetire:
It's a good tire, solid tread design, black chili compound. Advertised to be able to be run tubeless, but I haven't tried that yet. My main disappointment is that the width is really closer to 2.0, maybe 2.05 on a good day, as measured by my ruler (For pt. of reference, I'm running Stans ZTR Arch with 19mm inner wall width, stock on a Niner EMD). Also, this is not a high volume tire by any stretch. I also own Continental X-Kings, and those are noticeably larger volume tires; I would recommend the X-Kings if you want fast high volume tire, though they are also less wide than advertised. May go with the Schwalbe Rocket Rons or Nobby Nics next time around.
