I bought this to supplement an upcomming solo trip through Colorado/Utah. I also carry several C02 cartidges. The plan is to use this to top off tires in AM before setting out for the day and just having as a backup. Chances are it probably won't get used. The flip side is, it does work, because it is so compact the strokes are very short, so airing up a complete empty tire/tube may take you a while. However, if I was stuck 30-40 miles from civilization and all I had was that to get my tire situation, I WILL Take it. Once I figured out the locking mechanism, it was okay, just takes a long time to fill up. I think it will serve it's purpose though. Fits nicely in a bag or even a pocket the situation dictated.
