Step up to a set of big wheels. The Intense 29er is large and in charge of the mountain. The next generation VPP platform of the 29er Spider makes this an excellent pedaling bike for cross country to enduro. It shares many of the improvements made to Intense’s best-selling Tracer 2 frame such as the G1 dropout and the new shock links. The sleek tubeset adds sexy lines to the bike and the tapered headtube means a stiff front end. Known for their boutique quality bikes, it only made sense to pair this frame with superior suspension products. The Fox Float RL has 100mm of smooth travel. It will guide you through your maiden voyage without a glitch. The Fox RPL rear shock will smooth out any variability in the terrain you may face.
To complete the bike, Jenson paired some of your favorite components. Shimano LX shifters provide you with smooth shifting through all 27 gears (3x9). Shimano M446 hydraulic brakes provide excellent stopping power and are easy to maintain. Race Face Ride cranks are forged from 6066 aluminum. They were designed with a high strength to weight ratio. To keep you rollin’ at maximum speed, we’ve paired the Spider with the XLC Inverno disc wheels. Built on a SRAM hub and DT Swiss spokes, it’s the ultimate in speed. Once you ride this bike, you’ll love it.

Comments about Intense Cycles Intense Spider 29 Custom Build:
Just bought this a few weeks ago and have had it about a week. Jenson did a great job on the build/assembly and the bike looks sharp. I had debated Santa Cruz and Specialized alternatives, but the made in USA was a big consideration for me and the build quality is great.
I don't have a lot of miles on it yet, but once I swapped out the stubby (70mm) stem it shipped with the cockpit is comfortable.
