This is a far superior option over the stock Garmin mount. Seriously, who wants to hold their expensive bike GPS onto their bike with hair ties. Because that is how Garmin thinks you should. This is a must have for anyone that rides with a Garmin. I must say I'm disappointed with Garmin for not supplying a better mount and forcing me to spend more money to secure the money I already spent on the GPS.

The Garmin 500 mount on my previous bike was on the stem. The geometry of the bike made it a perfect fit. Then I bought a new bike and the geometry was different. The K-Edge mounts on the handlebars, but lets the Garmin mount in front of the handlebars (and centered) for a perfect location.

I bought this mount because the standard mount with the Garmin 800 on the stem is out of the line of sight. Also, I was nervouse using the orings as a means of mounting my computer. I am really happy with this mount. I was worried it was going to be flimsy, wand was way wrong. CNC machine out of pretty stiff aluminum. Also, the mount holds onto the Garmin very snug. Great buy! I some pretty rugged terain in Northern California, and never had a problem yet!

The only way to mount a Garmin 500/800. Looks great, easy to use and makes the Garmin easier to read on the bike. Beautifully finished - which justifies the expense, and gives the bike a real pro look. Probably one of the best and most long awaited products of the year. The only downside is the popularity of the product which can make it hard to get.

Finally a mounting system worthy of my Garmin Edge. Not sure why Garmin didn't think of this when they designed the Edge in the first place! This sure beats the plastic mount held on by two rubber bands. I had recurring nightmares of hitting a bump and my computer skidding down the street or out into traffic. At first it may seem a bit expensive but once you open up the package and check out the quality, design and finish the thing is just brilliant. Others must have felt the same because it was backordered for weeks!With a quarter turn it holds the computer perfectly snug and can be adjusted to fit any rider's positioning preference. Now if they would just make one that fits the skinny bars on my commuter bike!

When these finally arrived I placed them straight on my Cervelo S2 and R5. They felt light and unlike some other makes on the market to place your Garmin computer more in your eye line these felt well made and sturdy. They are simple to add to your bars and have enough adjustment to get them set up to your liking. A great addition to any cyclist bike who has a Garmin computer. The only one addition I would add to this product would be a rubber strip to place within the clamp on your bars to save any damage or movement.

Excellent product.
This small mount has increased my vision and hand access to my Garmin Edge 800 massively.
I love this little guy.

My only fault I have found is the contact points between the Garmin and the K-Egde are hard (K-Edge aluminum) and soft (Garmin plastic).
I am concerned this could wear down the Garmin clips over time which don't look replaceable. I have remedied this so far by slightly lubricating the back of the Garmin whenever I install it.

Upon unwrapping the K-Edge I was a little taken back by its somewhat lackluster appearance. I have the black one so I can't comment on other colours. Anyway installation was easyish - you have to look at the picture on the pack as to how it fits. Fitting the Garmin was a struggle, initaially I thought it didn't work but it's an extremely tight fit, there is no way the Garnin could ever come out - an interesting effect of this is the blades that hold your Garmin are so sharp they actually cut the plastic on the device, it will be interesting to see if this has a detrimental effect over time. As far as function goes it rates a 10, having the unit in front of you at your desired angle is brilliant, no more neck cranking and taking your eyes off the road. Pressing buttons whilst on the move is no problem thanks to the rock solid build and fit. No flex . It looks really crazy sitting off the bar too, especially if you have a nice stem. In summary ditch the rubber bands you won't look down again.
