Powertap G3C Hub
Cyclops has created the lightest powermeter in the PowerTap G3C Hub. First developed in 2006, the Cyclops PowerTap hubs have been evolving and improving ever since becoming lighter, stiffer, and ANT+ compatible!
Accurate power measuring is crucial and the Cyclops PowerTap G3C is accurate to within ± 1.5%. Now you can track your power in real time with Joule or your favorite ANT+ compatible computer wirelessly. Being ANT + compatible allows you to use any computer that is ANT+ capable to see your power readings in real time. With all of this information at your fingertips, you can maximize your training and have your most successful season ever! Another improvement with the PowerTap G3C is the smooth rolling ceramic bearings from Ceramic Speed that will roll faster and longer then anything else. The new wider flange adds stiffness to the wheel and PowerTap offers a newer smaller profile so that your wheel isn't screaming "powermeter!" to everyone. Older model PowerTap hubs have suffered from being too heavy and with the new PowerTap G3C, PowerTap has brought the weight down to 315 grams. A Shimano Ultegra rear hub weighs about 353 grams for comparison. One other improvement has been to move the electronics to the end of the freehub. In the event of a failure, a new endcap with new electronics can be replaced instead of sending in your whole wheel to PowerTap.The PowerTap G3C comes in Shimano/SRAM or Campagnolo compatibility and with 20, 24, 28, and 32 hole drillings.
