I use these for almost every Mt Bike ride and have been riding and racing for years now. I have one pair that is almost 8 years old and just as strong as ever. I raft in them, ride in them, swim, surf, and play tennis in them - the back pockets hold 4 tennis balls! My oldest pair has sailed across the Atlantic, hiked in Vietnam, and surfed in Saipan... I love these shorts!

Got these shorts two years ago and they're still going strong. I use them for cycling and rock climbing. They are extremely comfortable and light for cycling and the pockets hold my ID, tools, and spare tube without a problem. For climbing they stretch so getting your leg up while climbing isn't a problem. Very highly recommend these shorts.

These are great shorts for biking. As others have said, you might want to consider going up a size -- especially if you are at the top of the range for your normal size. They have an anatomical fit so they are meant to follow the contours of the body. I'm 5'9, 32 inch waist which should indicate small, however the medium is what I bought.
At first, even the medium seemed a little tight, but now they seemed to have loosened a bit. The length is just about an inch or two more than I would like, falling just below my knee on the upstroke so I tightened the velcro strap on the leg and rolled them up. I like my knees to be slightly exposed when riding so the pants don't rub against the leg.
I took out the liner. It just seemed too crowded down there. Maybe I'll try reattaching them as the weather gets cooler.

Thigh fit is tight. The waist fit true to size but if you have larger thighs you need to go up a size. I originally ordered a large. Waist was fine but mobility was affected due to tightness in thigh. Went to a XL an it fixed the thigh issue but created a liner fits like a diaper issue.

I ride XC and like the looks and fit of these new-school baggy shorts. I think the padding is a little lean, and honestly, I am not sure what the point of the removable liner is - when would you ever use them without it? They are a touch long for XC.

A little heavier than what I'd like, but the quality appears very good. I've been wearing a medium fit (34") for most of my life, but as others have warned, go up one size. The large fits me perfectly.
