I purchased the star ratchet upgrade for my 350 rear hub and it is a huge improvement. Engagement is noticeably faster and the hub is still as quiet as ever.

This is the easiest, upgrade I know of. Lightens my hub by 10g, adds an additional 18 points of engagment to make it a total of 36, total time to install, less than 5 minutes. I usually take my bike into the shop for most everything, but this was EASY! A must upgrade if you have a 240s/340 DT Swiss Hub.

Especially if you are familiar w the easy to service applicable DT hub, this is a no brainer. Most people are fine w the 24 points of engagement, but if you have them on a 36 they do notice, hence want it. Make sure you carry your 24 ratchets in your kit in case of a strip on the trail, so you can service it on the spot. Put them on your key ring!

Decreases substantially freewheel neutral zones. It improves speed in slower zones and ability to balance on the bike in very technical areas.
Ten grams lighter and very pleasant noise.
