The Sortie was designed to be an XC/all-mountain machine, capable of handling long, abusive single track rides. For 2012, Diamondback has redesigned the rear triangle, making it siffer and stronger without adding any weight. Outfitted with Diamondback’s Knuckle Box suspension design, the Sortie is an efficient ride that can still handle the rough stuff.

Comments about Diamondback Sortie 3 MTB Bike '12:

Great bike. Like the cliche saying, "it climbs like a goat, and desends like a devel."
this is a great bike. The bike feels big and plush, but when the propedal and shock are diled in right, acording to the rider's preference, the geometry stiffens out and really gives a smooth and good/comfortable power transfer to the dirt. the suspention is a little bigger then most XX bikes but can handle most drops that trail bikes ride. When climbing just flip the switch to stiffen the shock, when desending open it up and feel your seat sink in for the decent. The KnuckleBox suspention platform is lateraly stiff, and moves the rear triangle in just the right way. A fantastic ride for the dedicated weekend worrior.
