Not Worth The $$
I bought these as a cheap set to get me by while I was working on upgrading my brakes, wheels, etc. They looked aggressive and the price was cheap enough. My old WTB Prowlers were beyond wore out. I ordered the 2.2s but they are actually skinnier that the 2.1s that I had on before. They are also cast off center. When you spin the wheel you can see the tread if off alignment. I even had my wheels trued, it didn't help. All that aside, I gave em a shot for the last month or so. I've wiped out in corners that I could clear before. I can actually feel the back tire squirming from the sidewall being so weak. I have to slow down and really ride cautiously, my confidence is shook while riding on these tires. They look like an aggressive tread but I was getting better traction from my old wore out tires. It was a complete waste of money. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more on a known name brand.

CONS: Poor Traction, Off Balance Casting, Not True To Size, Weak Sidewall

Hit or missing quality control. Tire has good traction
Ordered 2 of these tires for my Trek Marlin 29er. One worked great and one had a noticeable "hump" or out of round section in one spot. Remounted tire 3 times and no change. Added 60psi air and it was less noticeable. Keeping it as a spare as of now.

Thinner than you might think
Tires arrived and installed them last night. I was shocked to see that the 2.2 Matadors are the same width as my 2.0 WTB tires. I was hoping for something a bit wider and nobby. I will take them for a ride tonight and update after a few miles.

poor
I bought them to replace my worn out WTB wolverine's and because they were cheap. When I took them out of the box they were much thinner than 2.2, I gave them a try in the trails and they have no traction whatsoever. I suggest to spend more money in some better tires.
