I love these wheels. They have a nice stealth black finish with minimal decals, unlike most of what is available these days. Also, the decals are removable if I decide that I don't want to advertise for Easton. Or, if you're a major weight weenie, you could remove them and tell your buddies about how much rotational weight you saved. They are light, stiff, and well built. It is nice that they came with an aluminum lock ring and variety of spacers to get your chainline just right with whatever style of cog you use. Personally, I'm using a Chris King cog with it.

I bought this wheel set to use on my Surly 1x1 for the WORS series. I race competitively in the Comp single speed category. I run my bike full ridged and I weigh in at about 145 lbs. I am a very aggressive rider however a wheel set should last more than a season. I taco'ed the front wheel from a crash that should have done little damage (however I do take some blame for the complete destruction of the front wheel). However my real gripe is the rear wheel, it started breaking spokes left and right. I work at a shop and keep my wheels true and tensioned properly. Easton had nothing to say about me breaking spokes every other time I ride. Not to mention they apparently have no plans to restock the solid bolt on rear axle upgrade which would make the rear wheel much less flexy. I have been extremely disappointed with Easton's terrible customer service and sub-par wheel set. Great set of wheels for a light weight 26 inch single speed commuter but I would not recommend much outside of that.

I installed these wheels no problem and so far they seem to be doing the job quite well. They are a good bit lighter than the stock wheels and a great bargain for the price.

Comments about Easton XC One 26" SS Disc Wheelset:
I use these a lot. I (175) hit the logs, but very little drops. 2' max.
This wheelset is light and very quick.
For less than $200, you won't beat it.
I'd buy these again for $5-6 hundred. Nice set, you can't go wrong with these.
Comments about Easton XC One 26" SS Disc Wheelset:
I (175 lbs)use these for XC, don't really jump or drops more than 2'. I've had them for 2 months. No issues, ride them 30 miles a week. They are light, nice looking, and under $200. What else do you need?
I plan on finding the 29 set.

Comments about Easton XC One 26" SS Disc Wheelset:
Since short track racing is such an all out sprint for 30-60min, that's about the extent of this wheelsets use. That and you should definitely be under 150lbs.
The low spoke count means super flexy wheels under hard efforts. Which is why I don't recommend them for standard XC racing or riding. Sharp downhill turns at low speeds or even slow crashes with the wheel not pointed straight spell doom for the wheels. Their lateral flex gaurantees a taco'd wheel.
Customer service at Easton was ok but they wouldn't divulge their torque specs for rebuilding the wheel. They use acoustics to do that which is fine but maybe for the pre-build stage...I can't imagine they send them out the door without putting a tensiometer on the spokes. Either way, thy wouldn't give me or my mechanic any help.
