Easy to use, and inexpensive upgrade. I was using a shorter stem, and felt like my control and steering was not accurate. After buying this for not that much money, I am more comfortable on the bike, and it now turns MUCH quicker and more accurate than the shorter one I was using. This is built nicely, and is secure. I don't feel like it will break, and has handled the pressures of some fast downhills, and some real hard pumping.

Have had this on my XC bike for over a year and have had no complaints. You may want something a little beefier for mild DH but I've hit some decent drops without any concerns.
