I am slowly building up my dream bike and couldn't think of a wheel in the price range I would rather have. They are light, durable and look great. The bearings are suprisingly smooth and the wheel rolls forever.
My only complaint would be the wheels have stickers on them for graphics and I can tell they won't last long.

This wheelset came on my bike. After a couple months of riding I pringled the front wheel and replaced it with a new one. 3 weeks later I taco'd the replacement wheel. Then I tried a cheaper wheelset and realized what a great wheel the Easton's were to begin with. Now I am on my 3rd EA70xc front wheel in 6 months. Disclosure: I kind of ride like a moron, so I can't in good faith blame Easton. There really is nothing close to this in price/quality. Trust me I looked.

I bought these wheels because they had a lot of nice features, look pretty cool and were on sale at a price I could not say no too. I use these wheels for running on pavement with my Specialized Carve 29er. The freewheel is basically silent and engages very fast...I figure they must use 30 pawls.
I wish they were tubless ready, but I knew they were not when I bought them.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
