The Havoc DH wheels rely on 32-mm wide aluminum rims, single-butted DT stainless steel spokes and brass nipples for unheard of durability. Proprietary Havoc hubs feature double row bearings on the front rotor side and rear drive side for long-haul performance. 32-mm wide rims for amazing tire shape and strength. 2 rides at Whistler and rear wheel has huge flat spot. I checked tension on spokes each ride, but that did not help. I expected more from a wheel set that says dh on it. Have set of cheap dt swiss that held up better. Not so impressed with these eastons.

I bought a set of these wheels and they worked extremely well for about a season of DH racing. By the end of the season the rear hub basically self destructed. It initially started off with the free hub mechanism locking up which nearly tore the derailleur off my bike. The cause of the issue was a bearing dust seal. I removed the bearing seal to remedy the issue then shortly after the hub bearings bought the farm. The same exact thing happened with a set one of my teamates was racing... 0 for 2.
For the price this is a great set of wheels to get you through a season of DH abuse. They most likely will not last longer than that. However...this set of wheels lasted me just as long as a set of Crank Brothers Opium 3's which are about 3X the price. I think the take away is...DH racing will destroy almost all rear wheels so spend your money with that in mind...
