I broke my GoPro off twice in two weeks at Palm Canyon on compression hits. The stock GoPro plastic mount couldn't handle it. This mount is aluminium and doesn't break. While it costs a bit more it has eliminated seeing my GoPro bouncing down the rocks ahead of me.
