This item is the cyclecomputer unit for the Shimano Flight Deck system. This innovative cyclecomputer is operated directly from the buttons built into certain Shimano STI brake/shift levers. Please note, this item does not include the mounting kit and wire harness needed to mount it to your bicycle (please see JensonUSA item #CP707Z01 for the wiring kit).

I got this product on my Road bike to use with Ultegra STI. After setting the bike data, I found it work just great, no need to move hands to start a stropwatch, set the laps or run through the different menus. Great for road trips, where you can make use of cadence and average speed - these two help you increase you average speed and maintain a constant cadence ~ 90 pm. Just went for more then 200 km and can't think of using other type of computer. Also good that it can be set for multiple bikes (4) - can use it on road bike and also on mountain bike. Highly recommend but only with compatible shifters will show all that it can do.

This is my first bike computer. The experience has been frustrating and has certainly detracted from my enjoyment of many cycling trips. I look forward to seeing how many times I can make it 'skip' when I chuck it in the Amstel.

Once programming is complete, this computer performs well and well as attractive. I would purchase again. I do a lot of indoor training on a fluid trainer in the off season and wish the magnetic pick up could be installed on the back wheel so my training efforts are not compromised.

I wouldn't buy another one. I've also used basic computer models that only provide the essentials. I'd also like a heart rate monitor option.

No problem, love to see the gear display. Ordered a new bike today, a Lemond Buenos Aires, with a Flight Deck for the 10 clog cassette although I have heard that the new model is problematic. We'll see, I'm going for it, an early 72ond birthday gift for myself.

I've had Shimano Flight Deck since this bike was brand new, and believe it to be the gold stardard against which all other computers should be measured. The total integration in the shift and brake levers is totally natural, and gives you a big advantage of having all of your data right where you need it. Scrolling through the system's screens is fast and easy and right there on your shifters. I am running the wireless kit, and its initial set of batteries lasted me almost 18 months. It hasproven itself extremely reliable, rugged and waterproof. I highly recommend this product.

Initial data entry at set up is a big detraction from this product. Reliability has been fine so far. Not sure if I would buy one again.
