I recently got this bike and I am very pleased. I have an odd body shape so Im still working out small adjustments but other than that it fit surprisingly well for a bike I've never sat on.

I purchased this bike to use as an all-weather commuter for use in the midwest. It's an excellent value for the dollar, however I was not happy with the Tiagra groupset - especially the shifters.

I was surprised to see that a bike brand like Focus would use anything lower than 105 level. I am in the process of upgrading the groupset to SRAM Rival/Force combo. Despite this, it was still a great value.

One comment about the mini v-brakes: Much greater stopping power than cantis, but there is a huge tradeoff. The amount of throw in the shifters is barely enough stop this bike. Therefore, you must adjust them as tight as possible. Adjusting them tight means any issue with the wheel being out of true will cause rub. It also makes it a nightmare to release the brake in order to remove a wheel. If you loosen the cable adjustment enough to remedy these issues, you may not have enough throw in the brake levers to cotrol your braking properly. The nice thing is that you can easily (and inexpensively) convert to cantis.

This bike was bought as a "intown" bike , I love to ride aggressivly ( cutting corners , jumping curbs , cutting through the unpaved area's ) this bike is perfect ! Tiagra provides crisp shifting ,gears are low enough to climb any hill , wheels aren't bad either ( 33.4 mph down hill ) . for the money this bike is AWESOME !!!

The Focus Mare is true to size I bought a 56 and it is just right. The seat is ok , the overall look of the bike is good other than the extra set of hand brakes it looks like alot of cable all in one spot ,but can have removed by bike shop they are a nice option though.Love the tire size works great on packed sand,gravel and dirt trails. When I got it I assembled and then took to the bike shop to have it looked over and he said just had to true up back wheel and got a good deal for that price.

I love this bike! I've got a rack mounted on it and I can take it just about anywhere I want to go. It's tough, rides well, and is just fun to ride. I was amazed at how fast this bike rolls. If they've got this n=bike in your size, then buy it! You'll not find a better deal anywhere.

Bought this bike for my wife and she loves it! Wanted a cross bike for on and off road rides so this bike works great. The Focus has decent components at a decent price.Have been on several rides in the three weeks since we purchased it and we are very pleased with this bike's performance so far. Great product!I have already recommended this same bike to a friend.

First of all I would just like to say Thank YOU! Living in Japan with the Military has its challenges when ordering online most of the places won't send to FPO AP's but not only did they send it here, it was here within a week! And also I have received a few packages that looked like they were kicked all the way over here but my Bike was in perfect shape!
