This was my first time rebuilding a shock. Everything went well except there was one O-ring that was not included in the kit. I already had everything apart and wanted to ride so I reused the old o-ring. Based on other reviews this must not be a common problem. But since I spent the time and money it would have been nice to know that all the parts were replaced.

This kit worked perfect - I replaced the seals on a 9-yr old shock that started losing air....I watched a youtube video on replacing the seals and everything went exactly as seen on the video.....after multiple rides, the shock is holding air without a problem, as good as new. The shock is a Fox Float RL.

This kit is great to rebuild your float, but apparently some of the CTD models have one O-Ring that is different, so this didn't work for my shock. If you have a float with a normal volume air can, it should be perfect and is easy to install.

This kit included everything I needed to perform air can service on a Fox RP2 Float shock, except instructions. Instructions are readily available on Youtube, and I had no problems servicing my shock using only an allen wrench and a seal pick.
The kit does require more than a basic understanding of bike maintenance, but anyone buying such a kit is undoubtedly aware.

I rebuild the air sleeve on my bike twice a year. WOW what a difference it makes. You dont realize how bad your shock was until you install a new kit. takes about 30 minutes to install. Just watch the video on You Tube produced by FOX.

This is a great rebuild kit recommended by Fox. Although it does not come with throrough installation instructions, they are easily found on youtube or Fox's website. My Fox RP23 is working great with the new o rings and fluid installed!

What can I tell you. YouTube has a video instruction and so does Pinkbike on how to do the install. Make cure you get the pointy device for stabbing into the old rings to remove them but follow the video to install the rings as they will feel larger than the space but they aren't. Exacting standards is all. Wish these packs came with the ring for the XV shocks. Not necessary I guess as Fox still does not provide the large ring so the old ones must be ok. I had not changed out my 08 Trek Remedy shock seals before and now I plan on doing it twice yearly as the ease and cost is a no brainer.
