First off, if you want to upgrade your 105 or Ultegra front derailleur to DuraAce, you'll need to also purchase the matching 7900 shift levers. You can't mix n' match...
When I acquired my DuraAce 7900 front derailleur, I also got the 7900 shifters and rear derailleur, as well. Setting up the rear derailleur was an absolute dream. Impossibly easy and a delight to ride.
Setting up the front, however — and I fancy myself a pretty adept wrench — was really tricky. Finding the right balance between cable tension at the binder bolt as well as the adjusting barrel on the frame was a bit maddening. My chain would either rub on the granny gear or on the monster gear.
It took many adjustment and ride sessions, but once it was dialed, all I can say is "wow." There is NO need to trim adjustment, which is a dream come true for front shifting. Once you're shifted on the ring, you can shift with abandon on the rear cassette without any chain rub.
And the shifts themselves are smooth, instant, and remarkably quiet.

Picked this up on sale and couldn't be happier. Goes well with my Dura Ace drive train and the groupset has lightened my rig quite a bit. Shifts wonderfully and I have no complaints.
