Unfortunately I cannot recommend this stem. I am an experienced bike builder and mechanic. Although I was using a quality torque wrench and had the torque well below the 5NM maximum recommeded by 3T, one of the TI bolts snapped in the stem rendering it immediately as junk. [$] out the window. I have since purchased the "pro" model which is essentially the same stem but with stainless steel bolts. Unfortunately, it has a white stripe and not red, which does not match the Ergonova Team bars I also bought, but with white bar tape, it still looks good. The pro model is great. However, I cannot recommend the team model given the lack of quality of the titanium hardware.
After a month of solid riding, I've yet to have any issues with the Ti bolts. Although I was skeptical at first going with 3T for mtb, I'm very satisfied. The stem is very light, rigid, and a perfect (I think) +/- 6. I have the Doric LTD seatpost, but I think it's a bit aggressive - the Team line is just as functionally sound. An aesthetic bonus - pair the stem with a 3T handlebar, and you'll notice that the plate has "3T" carved out that will appear white on the bars. Love it.

Needed a -17 degree stem and this is one of the few available. It looks good and is lightweight, about all you can ask for or expect from a stem. It's got titanium screws so be sure to exercise caution and use proper torque when tightening. Tighten them all incrementally up to final torque.
I bought these for two bikes, but about 50% of the Ti bolts broke, even though I used TWO different torque wrenches and was careful in installation (I am a Mechanical Engineer). I replaced all the bolts with some from a company that specializes in certified Ti bolts, and had no problems. The stem itself is nice, but 3T needs better QC on bolts.
