Beware - They wear out quickly

By TBV

from CA

Comments about Deity Enoki Lock-On Grips:

Bought these for my son's jumper bike. They look really good and provide excellent grip. However, we had to replace them after two months. The grip material completely wore out where his palms rest (think large divots in the grip). In all my years using and replacing mountain bike grips I've never seen something wear out so quickly.

Comments about Deity Enoki Lock-On Grips:

The grips are great and were the perfect upgrade to our Fat Bikes. The look good, are comfortable and went on quick and easy. Only problem was we ordered two sets of these grips and they come with bar ends.. but, one nut was missing in each set for the bar ends. Turns out the nuts seem to be a special size on the hex to fit into the wedge. I had no problem finding the thread size but the hex is to large and won't fit the wedge. I contacted Jenson and they promptly sent out a package, only thing is they sent the screws for the lock on part of the grip not the nut for the bar ends that are missing. I have contacted again with pictures and hope that they can send the proper nuts. Jenson's service has been great we just need to sort this little problem out. As one nut was missing from each set I think this was an issue from Deity and manufacturing/packaging.

Comments about Deity Enoki Lock-On Grips:

I ordered these Deity Enoki grips for my CC mountain bike and love them. The "mushroom" style grips do a great job of softening the feel of the grips while adding a little extra diameter to fit my large hands better. The ribs are not so tall, like the old '80 style, that they rack side to side, so no worries there. My only complaint, however small, is the raised flange on the inside edge of the grips. It does not get in the way of my shifters, but it does limit the usable grip space a little... again large hands need more room.

I would certainly buy these again, even with the flanges.
