Comments about Hayes Rotor - V-Cut:
I have the hayes 180 on the front of my bike it is great. currently running 160mm on the rear plan to step up to 180 eventually. The rotors seem to warp easily, i have to true them every other month.
Comments about Hayes Rotor - V-Cut:
Had cupping trouble with SRAM rotor. No problem with this Hayes model.
Comments about Hayes Rotor - V-Cut:
Works better than the avid one I had on there.
Comments about Hayes Rotor - V-Cut:
I got an amazing deal on a set of Hayes El Camino discs from one of the employees at the local shop i was going to. The brake set that i bought from him came with an 7" v-cut rotor for the front and a 6" for the back.
Comments about Hayes Rotor - V-Cut:
i've ridden in some sloppy stuff with these rotors, and i havent noticed any decrease in braking power or risidual 'wushing' noise as a result of mud in the caliper. the mud that is cut out of the caliper by the pad is actually visible at times. ie the notches aren't cosmetic, but they do look pretty okay. they get the job done, and well.
Comments about Hayes Rotor - V-Cut:
I bought this rotor to replace the Hope Gothic rotor on the rear wheel that bent when it pickedup a twig in one of its teeth. This one was easier to adjust the caliper to -- it is about .2mm thinner than the Gothic which makes getting pad clearance on both sides easier. It was $17 less expensive. I like this as the rear brake -- more surface area contacts than the aforementioned disk. The Gothic on the front stays for now, but if it bends too I'm replacing it with one of these.
Comments about Hayes Rotor - V-Cut:
it is the biggest rotor size at sale it brakes as fast as a motor bike it is less than 430 grams
