I just built a new trail bike up from scratch and this was one part that I didn't give a second thought about. I have several other bikes with CK headsets and have never had a worry or problem. This headset is for a tapered headtube with regular 1.5 inch lower and integrated 1 1/8 inch upper (not very common). Once you experience the quality and performance, you'll be a believer too.

It's a Chris King. It might seem expensive but it's not cause it's gonna outlast your frame or bike. Just buy it, install it and fuggedaboutit! Plus it's the coolest and nicest looking out there which makes it even more worth it.
