What a simple and useful accessory!
On the bike, I use mine as a neck gaiter. It breathes very well and is not as warm as the typical fleece or wool options -- this is a good thing.
It's a necessity when the temps dip below 35. Scrunch it down when you get warm, pull it over your mouth when you get cold.
Off the bike, it can be used as a skull cap, balaclava, headband and more.
For just a "tube" of fabric, it is superemly practical and functional.
