The 2013 Giro XAR™ is the premier helmet for all your adventures in the dirt. The return of the classic XAR in fresh new 2013 colorways is intended for versatile use, recommended for use in AM / Trail riding, Endurance / Marathon XC, or Super D.
All the best performance tech features that you’ve come to expect from Giro are present in this trail-ready helmet. The helmet body is constructed from molded high-impact EPS foam coated with a hard-wearing polycarbonate graphic shell. However, the XAR does not sacrifice breathability for protection. Love this helmet. Of course, everyone has a different shaped head, for me, the Giro Xar fits my head perfectly. The only con is the helmet tends to slide around, even if adjusted perfectly. I wear a headband under the helmet to help keep it in place better and it works fine.
