I bought this helmet to replace my Specialized XC helmet, I've found this one offers more protection, specially in the rear, vents are almost the same, and this one offers lots of padding.
Every 3 rides, someone says something good about my helmet: "Where did you buy it?", "Your helmet looks great"...
I bought(Sm-Md size) and fits perfect for my small head, but be carefull if you have an average or above average head, you might prefer to buy the Large one!
I love white one cause it combines with everything!

Good looking Helmet. The head shape is off for sure. Its super wide. Feels like the front and back of my head are pinched and I can fit my fist on the sides...
Retention is easy to adjust.

I own the previous version of the 661 Recon and I absolutely love it. Light, vents extremely well, and covers the parts of your head that are likely to hit the ground, which you don't really get out of a lot of XC helmets (read: the back!). Plus it looks awesome. I had a couple of the pads come unglued inside after many, many sweaty hours in the Recon, but that was fixed easily enough. No real complaints. I'll likely replace my current one with the same model.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
