Comments about Ibis Bicycles Ibis Mojo HD 160 SLX Build Bike:
I've ridden All-mountain bikes by Specialized, Santa Cruz, and now Ibis, and the Ibis is far and away the best bike I have ever ridden. The carbon fiber frame allows you build it up super light, whether you are building a do it all race bike or a Mammoth Ripper you will be hard pressed to build this up over 30lbs, and you can easily get it down to 25lbs or less, depending on components. The DW-link lets thing climb like a dream for such a "big" bike and on the way down it eats up corners like it is its job (which in fact it is). I know everyone loves the bike they have, but really this thing is a winner and all the mags seem to agree.
As for you Santa Cruz devotees, I'll say this - I've ridden a Nomad C and in the end I found the DW link more to my style of riding than VPP. In general I felt like the Ibis just has more finesse on the trail. This isn't to say one is better than the other, it is all about personal preference. Seriously, though, get an Ibis, you won't be disappointed. It is worth the money for a serious cyclist.
