works best on hydraulic housing
The cable grip will work if the mounts on the bike frame are not too deep and they don't have funny angles. Also, shift cables won't hold as well as hydraulic housing as they are a thinner gauge.

Perfect for disc conversions
I ride an older bike with cable stops only for V-brakes. These clip into the existing cable stops and hang your new hydraulic brake line from them.
Only thing is they don't handle slack very well, and so the hose will sag in between cable stops. Make sure the cable is measured and cut properly and you won't have any problems.

Brilliant!
Easily adapts any cable stop to a full-length housing. Simple to install, set-and-forget, insert any easy to use words for modification of a standard frame to allow full-length housing.
