On top of the fact that the wires are stainless steel and the housing is high quality, the kit provides donuts to protect the frame along the top-tube, and even a rubber piece to keep water from running down the rear derailleur cable into the cable housing. These wires do fray easily, but that's easily remedied by cutting with cutters that have curved blades, and then capping the wire immediately after installation.

I used this cable/housing combo for at least 6 months without a problem. After a while I noticed that I was having shifting problems with my rear der. I changed the cable a few times and I ground the edges, de-burred the ends of the housing and lubed everything before putting it all back together. Still had problems, I ended up replacing the Deore shifter with an XT but I still had the same shifting issues. I ended up swapping out 1 section of this housing with the housing that came with the shifter and my shifting seems to be normal now. (Which is a bummer because I liked the celeste color of the Jagwire cable more than the standard black).
In the end, I liked the color options of these cables and they seemed fine at first, but I think they were causing problems with the cable sticking and not shifting.

Installed on my daily road bike and my touring bike. Without doubt the best cables I have had in 69 years of cycling. Operation of brakes and derailleurs is as smooth as silk and the old chore of cleaning and lubricating cables is eliminated - hopefully for ever.

This is a great kit,everything you need and easy to follow instructions. Diameter of the inner was not listed so I had to contact Jagwire direct. What a pleasant experience, polite, prompt and knowledgeable service from those guys. I will be using many more of these kits.

Comes with both ends sealed with end plugs in different sizes so you have to remove one of them.
Once end plugis removed, cable end remains open and not welded, this complicates ability to push it through housing and various links during installation.
Other cables come sealed/welded on the open end so one can easily install them through the system.

Replaced the cables on my wifes bike she uses year round for commuting. Has been on the bike for 8 months through rain, snow and sun and hasn't even required any adjustment since first set up. Comes with all the necessary parts that are good quality.

Installation was very easy. The housing was easy to cut with just diagonal cutters, not even specialzied housing cutters. The cables are coated so they don't fray, and you can feel how slick they are just putting them in. Came with plenty of ferruels, end caps, and little rubber cable o ring things for the exposed section.

Takes forever to feed the brake cable through the housing. Might have had a bad housing, other than that, comes with everything you need to install a mechanical brake.

No problems. Sets up in a breeze. Haven't noticed any shifting restriction. The braided white look really sweet. It's a white housing with a thin silver line braided around it. Have these cables set up on both my bb7s and rear derailleur.
