Every K-Edge product is incredibly well-thought out and designed, and the ACS for mountain bikes is no exception. It prevents chain suck and frame damage - especially important on today's carbon frames.

It uses an ingenious mounting mechanism - replacing on of the 2.5mm spacers found between the right-side bottom bracket cup and the frame on today's common outboard bearing cranksets. You'll never notice it's there.

Comments about K-Edge MTB Dirt ACS Antichainsuck Guide:

This applies only if you add a double chainring. Mason comes as 1x10 AM drivetrain.

On the DiamondBack Mason there is little space where this will fit due to the chainstay and the bracket for E-Type derailleur/chain guide.

Even so it will interfere with the derailleur cage. So this is a no go.

BTW the other K-Edge MTB chain guards will also not fit.

Unfortunately I already messed with the one I got trying to make it fit so it is no longer in a returnable condition.

My solution at this time is to use a clutch type rear derailleur to help with chain suck caused by chain sway/slap. Also I'm using a close double chainring to prevent chain suck caused by big gear changes.

I would have loved to make this work as it is a very nice piece of gear, well engineered, very light and good looking. It may work just fine on your bike.
