Came stock on my commuter bike. High rolling resistance but little traction. No grip on grass and had a puncture from a sand bur, not a goat head, a sand bur. Grass punctured this tire.

Built out a CX bike and decided to try out these Kenda's Have other more expensive tires but these really are worth the money. I wish they were solid black, but hey for the price they dig in and stick and handle rocks well.

Comments about Kenda K161 Krosscyclo Tire:

Because this is narrower than for instance the club roost
cross tire, you can have a nubbly tire on a frame that
                  won't take a wider tire.

                  False Width!

Comments about Kenda K161 Krosscyclo Tire:

Should've listened to "The Armand". The tire width is falsely labeled; it's labeled 37 – 630 and 27 x 1 3/8 (35 mm), neither is right. The actual width is about 28 – 28.5 mm at the maximum recommended inflation pressure of 70 psi...tread is slightly misaligned due to thick inner tube and folded in delivery box (didn't align because I'm taking tire back off to service wheel). My primary reason for ordering this tire was the stated width. What gives, Kenda?! The tire is mis-sized by over a 1/4"...that's huge!!!

Also, the order options are 700c mocha, and 27" tan. Kenda needs to differentiate colors better...to clarify, the mocha is the dark sidewall, and tan is the light-colored sidewall, the tan is more like a french-vanilla color.

Despite reading the review about mislabeled width, and the uncertainty of sidewall color (wanted dark tan, aka mocha), I ordered this tire because I was unable to find another gumwall style tire with knobbies in 27".

Comments about Kenda K161 Krosscyclo Tire:

First and foremost, these tires are NOT 35mm wide! I was very skeptical when I first saw them, but after mounting them sure enough they measure out to a hair over 28mm. That is a HUGE difference in width, and well, was NOT the size I wanted for this type of tire.

Outside of the false size labeling, these tires seem to be well made, and the thread pattern is good for a wide range of conditions. The price is good too.

If the sizing were right, this would be 5/5.

Comments about Kenda K161 Krosscyclo Tire:

I was looking for a durable tire for my CX Kona Major Jake. These tires fit the bill. They are low cost and are proving to be very durable. They roll surprisingly smooth and performed well at my last race. It was SpookyCross at the LA Fairground. These tires handled the mix of paved roads, gravel, dirt, whoops, etc great!
