These tires are pretty good. I've used them for a couple years on a daily heavily loaded commuter. After about 1000mi, tires still have plenty of life. Love I could get a 65psi for the front and 100psi for the rear in the same 26"x1.5" size. If you have a commuter/touring bike with a rack on the back that's a fantastic setup. They are quiet, have low rolling resistance.
The cross section is round, not oval or "triangular" shaped, so it's super linear and predictable in the corners - a great handling set. Grip is excellent both wet and dry. Not much of a tread, I'm not sure how good they'd be in gravel, I used them exclusively on city streets.
They are heavy, so if you're a weight weenie you might want to look elsewhere. The puncture resistance is so-so. I had problems with goat-heads so laid a puncture resistant strip on the inside. It added weight, but the goat-head problem all but disappeared. Just once I accidentally ran thru a patch of em and did get a flat, but the goathead found a space at the edge of the puncture band. I'm convinced no tire on the planet can resist every goathead! Otherwise tire holds up well to abuses of city streets and curb jumping.
They were super tight to install on Sun RynoLite 26" rims. After a few on-off, they did loosen up a little.
Not perfect, but overall recommended.

I am reviewing the kenda Quest K161/wire example in 700x35/wire as purchased from Jenson. The tire while having a fairly aggressive tread pattern is nowhere near the width as advertised. I was looking for a lot more volume and flotation but it falls short in these aspects. The actual width measures 29.5 mm at 60 # in the 700x35 size. Weight is less than advertised at 380g vs 402g. Not a bad tire but it is far smaller!! than represented.Lower rating given for small size otherwise would be 3-4 star.Gary

I bought these to try on the kids bike trailer. We go on the paved paths for fun and these pull a lot easier. I used the high pressure tires. 60 pounds of kids and 15 miles, you'll notice the difference.

I had these tires on my bike for about 8 miles before i had my first pinch flat. I ran over a curb with my fork locked out with lower than reccomended psi. My fault. I don't get to use these because i acquired a 27 in road bike from the 1970s for all my road riding.
I commute almost daily with these tires. I have had several flats. In my opinion, if you will be commuting, you would be better served buying a tire with better flat protection.
Using this tire on a kent compact 16 folding bike, This tire is perfect for this bike period! The overall profile is a little shorter than the original 35 psi 2.25 tires that came stock, but they are absolute junk anyway! The width is great, I have heard others complaining about the width of the 1.5 kenda kwest being less than advertised but the 16" is perfect on my rims. Overall this product gets 4 stars only due to the fact that I have to incorporate a set of clamps to mount the tires.

I've put just over 1000 miles on my Sun EZ-Sport since August. I ride over a wooden boadwalk, asphalt stone boadwalk, and the terrible streets of Staten Island. The tires roll well and never seem to lose any air (I weigh 230 lbs.). I am extremely happy with them.
I bought these to use as a slick tire for commuting, I've put about 400 miles on them so far. My typical commute covers a variety of roads, pretty much everything between smooth pavement to dirt country roads. I get reasonable grip on all of these surfaces, although it doesn't perform too well on loose dirt or gravel surfaces (which is to be expected I think). I haven't had any issues with punctures yet. The only drawback I see is that these tires may be a bit heavy, but I don't consider that a serious problem considering how I use them. With regard to the other reviewer, my tires have no mold alignment issues.
VERY POOR QUALITY AND WORKMANSHIP. THE SIZE IS 16 X 1.5. I BOUGHT THESE AS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON A DAHON BIKE. DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A WARANTY ON KENDA TIRES?
High pressure for low rolling resistance. Original tires on my Sun EZ-Sport recumbent have lasted 2 years and about 1900 miles.
