I love the tires, they make me feel like superman for being able to keep so much momentum on the trail! The combination of grippiness and low rolling resistance just make it a fantastic tire to ride in general. I am running the 2.35 front and rear with about 34/30 psi. They really soak up the small bumps and have enough contact area to carve corners with confidence. I have a slower/smoother turning style so all the transition knobs give the tire a consistent feel as I'm leaning and transitioning my weight. They also sprint and climb very well out of the saddle! I've yet to see these slip under steep, dry out of saddle climbing conditions. For the riding conditions these are meant for, I don't know how anyone can ride a knobby tire over these! These are definitely my tires from now on until I find myself riding on soft soils and/or mud.

This tire was used on a single speed. I use 100% front brakes, so all the tire needed to do was climb the hills and follow the bike back down. Ignitors good, absolutely swear by my Nevegals. I have four bikes with Nevegals from 2.35 to 1.95. Tried Small Block 8 so see if they really do roll better - and they do. But the Small Block 8 spins out climbing Cholla & Meadows. On high speed downhill, the tire slides sideways. Dry condition downhill Santiago Trail was scary on this tire, but the Nevegal in the rain on the previous weekend stuck all the corners. They also don't last long. They roll fast because they have very shallow tread. They would be great as a commuter and sometimes dirt, but don't depend on them if you take fast turns in dirt. I would strongly suggest the Nevegal for any conditions, and they roll just fine. I would be scared to use this as a front tire. I know the pros race with these and love them, but I will stick with the Nevegal at a few more grams - which comes from higher knobs meaning more grip and longer mileage.

This replaces a crossmark. It climbs sooo much better out of the saddle without breaking traction but when cournering hard it can break traction without warning not inspiring confidence. This was on hard pack with very fine loose over top. the price you pay for the low rolling I guess?
I've been using this as my rear tire for over 2 years with the Nevegals up front, and really love this setup. The tire is a really fast rolling tire that corners, climbs, and grips really well on most conditions, especially on dry and hardpack trails. These tires obviously don't perform well in extremely wet and muddy conditions, since it's not what they were designed for.
Only negative I could think of is that the sidewall casing is a little thin, but overall it has been a great tire.
Best tire I have ridden to date. Run them 45-50 psi for high speed and best corner traction. Recommend and will buy another pair!
Perfect summer So-Cal tire on the rear or race tires. I will switch over to something with bigger knobs once it gets a little wet. Overall I was not disappointed with my purchase. Im still in search of the perfect setup for me, but these got me half way there. I pulled the front tire off and went with a different tire for better control with my poor bike skills. These tires climb for me just as well in a straight line as any tire Ive run in the rear, but they give up a little grip on ultra technical super steep ones. I will continue to purchase if the price is in the $35 range.
These tires are unbelievably good. Easy to mount, no pinch flats yet, no problems at all. I am running the 2.1 on the rear with the nevegal 2.3 on the front. I was nervous when I got em I thought they wouldn't grip, but they sure do in almost all but the steepest and most slippery conditions. They greatly reduced my rolling resistance, vastly increased my speed, and made my bike a little lighter. Go with these unless you are a in mud all the time. Great tires worth every penny, you will do much more than you expected on these.

Great way to lose weight from a bike and gain speed via less rolling resistance. Acceleration is noticeably better. Compared to stock tires, they are not even in the same league. I now accelerate from a stop in a much higher gear.
dont buy these if your local trail gets leaves on it. anything loose will trip these tires up.i would not ride these tires again, and i am glad that i got them free with a set of wheels, now i know why i got em for free. if you ride flat hard pack trails with no loose leaf litter, they might be fine, otherwise, get something with a little more meat to them.these may be good for mountain cross, or dual slalom, but not for any trail that i ride around here.

It doesn't look like much because of the low profile knob - but it hooks up well and rolls very fast. In Michigan we have hardpack single track that is soft in the spring and slippery in the fall - this tire is dominant. If you ride XC I highly suggest trying out this tire front and rear. I also have the Nevegals but they can be too much during the summer months when the ground tightens up.
