This is a neat item to have with the knog bags. Fun to use and makes the bag very comfortable. However it makes the bag hang off your back high at the top and it is difficult to attach to the back of the bag. The entire neoprene section on the backpack portion must be removed from the plastic then attached to the bag and then the neoprene section must be pulled back over to attach it. Also, I had to figure this out on my own as there are no directions. That said it is a very neat piece and makes me feel like getting rid of all my other bags, the versatility and practicality of the knog bags with the included attachments is awesome even if it takes a few more seconds to turn it into a backpack than you expected.
