Kryptonite Security Wheelnutz Solid Axle Locking Nuts are designed to keep your wheels away from thieves, because they can only be loosened or removed when the bike is upside down. And that's pretty hard to do when your bike is locked to a rack. For maintenance-related removal, or when the bike tends to be upside down anyway, you'll have no issues removing these locking nuts. No reason to carry a key or other odd tool, just use your standard 15mm wrench. It's sensible wheel security.
