This lock is perfect for its intended use, to keep honest people honest. Obviously, it won't stand up to professional thieves with cable cutters; but if you live in a decent area and are seeking to prevent crimes of opportunity, this lock does the trick just fine.

I didn't realize how thin this cable lock was. It is suitable for locking accessories to a bike, like a helmet. I suppose you could use it to lock an inexpensive bike when you leave it for just a few minutes (for coffee or something).
