I actually have two of these new york locks and they are absolutely bombproof. You can tell these are super secure simply by the weight of these, i used mine to lock up my bike when commuting to work.
The locks were left outside in the racks all season and were able to withstand rains and snow and after a season they still work great. The additional thing about these locks is the warranty. One of my locks seized up and I could not longer get the key into the keyhole, I simply sent the lock back to Kryptonite and they were able to warranty it for me and send me a new one.
I really like this brand as it stands behind their products. I would strongly recommend this lock for anyone that has a nice bike and needs to leave it locked up.

It's pretty surprising how heavy duty this lock is. I only bring it with me on my commute when I know I'm stopping between point A and B because it's too much weight to ride with all the time. But, that said, it is probably the smallest, toughest lock you can get right now.

When I use this lock along with my cable lock, I feel safe leaving my bike alone. My biggest gripe is the small area enclosed by the shackle. Overall, a fine product for paranoid riders like me.

I would rate it 4.5 but there is no 4.5. This is because of its size being a little impractical even though that in itself is a defense mechanism, even if it were a little bigger no one could fit anything in there to pry it apart. All in all its a very good lock.
