The XM 321 from Mavic is parts of their "cross-mountain" series for 2004. Replaces the older F219 model. Its a 28mm wide rim (outside to outside) for use with disc brakes only. At 570 grams, its designed with an eye on durability and strength for aggressive riders. It all comes at a price that wont ding your wallet, making these rims ideal for your next custom disc-specific wheelset.

Have had the 32 hole 321 in the front and rear for 4+ years. The front has never needed truing despite constant abuse. The rear suffered a small flat spot from a large drop in a rock garden that resulted in a pinch flat. The tire was not properly inflated, yet the rim only minimal damage. I like that they come in 32 and 36 hole drilling. When the rims are on sale they are a great deal. Would buy for the front again, might try the 36 hole Mavic 521 for the rear next time. These are solid rims. Only beef is they are a bit narrow; larger tires seem to 'roll' a bit through hard cornering. Rims accept a max tire diameter 2.3".

I have had there rims for 3 years. What a killer set of rims. They can take alot of hard hits and they stay true. But what do you expect there mavic.

REAL STRONG ....I WAS RIDING A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AND HIT A SMALL DROP AND LANDED ON A SIDEHILL SO HARD I HAD GRASS STUCK BETWEEN THE TIRE AND THE RIM....THE SPOKES WEREN'T NEAR TIGHT ENOUGH AND IT HARDLY BENT THE RIM....I WAS REAL IMPRESSED....THANKS ALOT MAVIC AND JENSON U.S.A:)

These rims came on the bike and are still going strong after 3 years of abuse. They are still running true (had to do a little work on the rear, but nothing huge) which is impressive considering I ride everything from downhill to dirt jumping with them. I recommend these rims to anyone looking for something that can take abuse, and not kill your wallet. Mavic knows how to make rims.

These rims are a lot better than I expected. I recently upgraded to a new front (also XM321) with a 20mm Hope hub. I put the old one on my sons Giant NRS and its still as true as can be.

Outstanding durability, performs flawlessly, hasn't come out of true ever since I've been using them. These have been used on Downhill runs and have handled the abuse thrown at them flawlessly, if they ever were to taco, which I doubt they will I'd definitely get them again.
