Comments about Mavic Crossmax SX Wheels 2013:
Stiff, spokes are pretty bomb proof which was a worry of mine, tubeless set up is easy even with non ust tires, rims are tough as nails for their weight, good engagement

Really stiff and very well built. Perfect with 2.35 tires, Took 2 weeks to CHili.
Comments about Mavic Crossmax SX Wheels 2013:
You pay for what you get here and these wheels truly rock! Light, storng but yes, a bit spendy. THey look great too and work on everything from AM to FR to all but the craziest DH where you want something bombproof. However, I did see a few riders running these at the Rampage and so I can't imagine a better endorsement. I just wish the rim were a little wider to better accomodate bigger tires.

Comments about Mavic Crossmax SX Wheels 2013:
the only thing stronger than these in the mavic range are the legendary deemax wheels......
these fir a wide range of axle types out of the box.....off the top of my head the only axle type you will need to purchase adapters for will be quick release front forks. these will not fot 150 X 12 rear axles.
they are extremely strong and very stiff......they give good feedback with just the right amount of flex.......they will last a long time once taken care of.
they are painted, which will always be less durable than anodising, especially on wheels, but for the time they are good.
they are quite expensive, but for the strength they are worth it.

Comments about Mavic Crossmax SX Wheels 2013:
I love these wheels, I am running the 2012 version and they are awesome. So strong, stiff and light while also coming in an amazing looking package. The white rim makes the wheels and bike stand out so much & in a good way. Look wise these are some of the nicest looking wheelsets on the market (IMO).
In terms of durability the wheels are super stiff but no so much as a dedicated wheelset so they are perfect for freeriding and trail/all mountain riding. I also see a lot of the pro's using these on their slopestyle bikes as well so you know they hold up to abuse.
I've put these wheels through some abuse already and they come out still in perfect condition. I've had some hard flat landing and had no issues with pinchflats or any sort of damages to the wheels.
The only negative about them is that the rims and spokes look so good i kind of feel bad to ride them hard or when you load them onto the chairlift hooks.
If you want to make your bike standout and at the same time get a strong, stiff and reliable wheeelset these are the way to go. They aren't cheap but they are well worth the price.

Comments about Mavic Crossmax SX Wheels 2013:
I was bit of a skeptic when I bought these wheels as I have never owned any Mavic wheelsets. However, after using them for couple months now I am very impressed. Wheels are strong and light for its intended use. I'm pushing about 260+lbs when geared up and these wheels have been bombproof. I have used it for everything from xc to am riding. Only had to true the front wheel once and that's only because I'm very OCD when the wheels are out of true even a tiny bit. Only con I would have would be the price but IMHO they are every bit worth it. Mavic's MP3 warranty program will put your mind at ease too. By far the best upgrade I made to my FS bike.
Comments about Mavic Crossmax SX Wheels 2013:
Light strong stiff can be used for allmost anything. I weigh 155 with light touch. There on my Tazer Ht right now. I've done north star on them, bmx tracks, dj, am and learning a little trials with them. Hop up and off a picnic table. I've had wheels and it's harder to get hub like kings to be as light stiff strong and the width. Allmost 2 years old and no problems with my light weight.

Comments about Mavic Crossmax SX Wheels 2013:
I used it for some rough all mountain riding and some big drop around 7ft. The wheels still holds up and very durable. I highly recommend this wheelset because it's light, strong, and nice!! Don't listen to people about the hubs problems. It's all lies
