Mavic Equipe Base Layer
During cold weather riding, it is important to make sure that you are well prepared to handle the elements. Once the riding starts, a slightly chilly day can turn into a tough slog through frigid temperatures pretty quickly. The Mavic Equipe Base Layer works in tandem with your jersey to wick moisture away from your body and therefore keep you warmer. Since perspiration is the body’s way of staying cool, it makes sense to keep the skin drier in cold weather. The short sleeves allow you to wear it with a short sleeve jersey with arm warmers. A nice option to have when your ride starts of in the cold morning, but may warm up later in the ride or on moderately cold days. The X-Static fabric in the Mavic Equipe Base Layer in addition to helping regulate temperature is also anti-microbial and eliminates odor. The cut of the Mavic base layer is also very cycling specific so the fit won’t distract you while on your ride.

I bought this Mavic Base Layer shirt to keep my core warm. I mostly use it mountain biking on cold night rides. It does a good job on blocking the wind. The best thing is that it keeps me drier. Especially between my back and Camelbak. Normally wet cloths on a cold night make me freeze. Bottom line is this shirt keeps me drier and warmer. I wish I had 2 or 3 more of them.

I bought both the short- and long-sleeve versions and like them a lot. Watch out for the sizing though, as what's listed in not US sizing and you'll need to go up a size (e.g. I wear L so ordered XL). Only issue I have is that the neck is really high, which you can see in the photo, so it sticks out above the normal cycling jersey.

It has worked very well so far. I have washed it 2 or three times and it has all these spots where the fabric has like bunch up somthing. hasnt fallen apart or anything yet but looks kinda sketchy.
