The Ardent SC EXO contains a proprietery woven matierial in the sidewall to increase abrassion and cut resistance. Aggressive side knobs give the Ardent aggressive cornering traction and the ramped center knobs minimize rolling resistance but still has enough traction for quick acceleration and braking.

Simply put, this was a no brainer for me. I ride singletrack in vermont and found my stock bontrager tires left me washing out in the corners and hiking the rocky uphills. Did my research and chose the ardents. Couldn't be happier! They grip everything, roll great on trails, and are crazy rugged. The price is on the higher side but worth it. These won't disappoint.

I run this on my singlespeed rigid as a front tire and it works great! Super fast and corners like a dream. Holds air perfectly on Stan's 355 rims with Slime Pro sealant. I have smacked the rim on sharp rocks if I run the pressure too low, but it's rare and that can happen with any tire.

Can wear fast if you push speed into corners. For me it runs best over 32 psi even tubeless.

I wanted a little more volume up front on my hardtail so decided to give the 2.4s a try. I was concerned it would be a slower rolling tire but I was wrong. It obviously doesn't roll as fast as a SB8 or other lightweight XC tire but considering the siize and aggressive knobs, it rolls amazingly well. I like trying different brands/models of tires but I will probably replace it with the same when it comes time.
