The Maxxis Minion DHF was designed for the often loose and muddy conditions of aggressive all- mountain terrain. The DHF incorporates ramped knobs for low rolling resistance and channel- cut knobs to increase gripping edges, giving straight- line control and precise cornering. The Minion DHF is a super tacky high performance cross country tire. The tire features EXO protection which increases abrasion and cut resistance for optimal performance.

Comments about Maxxis Minion DHF Folding ST Tire:
I'm a 50 yr old, ex moto-head, XL size, All Mountain rider in rocky Colorado. I'm not concerned about getting up the hill fast, that is to say, I live for the DH. My mtb is heavy so I'm always looking for ways to cut a little weight w/o compromising performance: these tires are one of the best ways to do that. If you're prone to dragging the rear wheel they will wear fast but w/ judicious braking they'll last a season. I run the 2.5s and they're beefy, give excellent traction and are fairly light for their size. These are the only tires I run: good for snow, mud, gravel (ie decomposed granite) and hard-pack.

Comments about Maxxis Minion DHF Folding ST Tire:
Maxxis Minion ST up front with HR or Minion DHR 60a in the rear is the best setup for me. Minion DHF design is already popular among DH/FR and AM crowd so making different compounds is just right. Minion ST helps increase my traction up front where I need it while I have a harder compound in the rear equaling longer life. My do-everything tire. Quite pricey so pick some up when they are on sale or clearance.

Great tire - most of the grip of the dual ply version but much much lighter.
