The Michelin Pro3 seems over rated to me. Look they are OK at everything but durability & way over priced originally. Continental 4000S are way better and Vittoria Rubino's are as good. Kenda Kaliente's are lighter and more durable. Vredestein Tri-Comp ride better for sure but those are expensive too. Shwalbe Ultremo's are also on another level above Pro3's. Pro3's are on sale now and a decent value since they are discontinued for good reason, there are better tires out there and Michelin knows it and are trying to keep up with the Pro4's. Notice how Continental 4000's don't have to upgrade their tire every year? They have the tire everyone else is trying to perform to. Just remember how hard Conti 4000's are to mount. Get Conti Ultra Race for easy mounting, still better than Pro3's.Vittoria's are a cinch to
mount and the Kenda's are reasonable to mount. Yes Michelin's are decent for mounting.

These tires were a good deal, but I guess that you get what you pay for. These were very difficult to mount. It seemed like the diameter was a few mm too small, and it was tough getting them on the rims completely without pinching the innertube. Similarly difficult to take off the rim for the same reason. Seem to puncture easily. My biggest compaint is that on my first ride, one of the two new tires blew-out through the sidewall. Obviously a manufacturer defect that was not caught by QC. Rolling resistance isn't the best either. I would not recommend these tires.

Comments about Michelin PRO3 Race Folding Tire:
Tire isn't worth the full retail but worth the sale price. Rolls as good as anything out there and lasts about the same as other tires for me. I get about 800 to 1200 miles for my 220 pound but.

Comments about Michelin PRO3 Race Folding Tire:
They are super grippy tires. I bought them for a century I was doing on my cross bike (the Blue Ridge Breakaway) and they held up great! Fast tires that never flatted for me. I still run them when I'm doing strictly road riding on my cross bike and they haven't failed me yet, regardless of weather.
Comments about Michelin PRO3 Race Folding Tire:
Long lasting tires that handle well. What more do you need?

Comments about Michelin PRO3 Race Folding Tire:
One of the smoothest, grippiest, and fast-rolling tires I have used. Ride great. However, sustained a nasty rip down the tread on one tire and sidewall tear on the other within 60 miles of riding. Not sure if it was just bad luck, but this was on my usual routes where I have never encountered tire damage like this. Replaced with another set because the price was right, but taking special care to try and make them last.

not a very good all around tire. The sidewall would begin to seperate almost immediately.

Comments about Michelin PRO3 Race Folding Tire:
I like these tires quite a bit, and it was GREAT while everybody was blowing them out. Hopefully I like the Pro4s just as much.
Comments about Michelin PRO3 Race Folding Tire:
You can't get a much better deal on tires than this. They look great, handle well, and have loads of grip. They wear a little quickly, but for the price buy an extra set.
