The go-to cross clincher
What is there left to say about this tire? It's superb.

Awesome traction in almost every conceivable condition. They excel in the mud (see pic). Quite light too.

I've run these with and without tubes (using a Stan's tubeless kit). They work well at all different pressures. I found 34 good for everything New England can throw at you (I weigh 165).

If you're going to get a cyclocross clincher, get the Michelin Mud 2.

PROS: Great traction, Easy to Mount, Light, Durable

Excellent tire in all conditions
Swapped out some other tires for these. Used them in a few races on Mud, Gravel, sand, and grass. The traction is great. Cornering is great. Mounted them as tubeless on stans crest wheels and held air great.

PROS: Traction, Mud

CONS: Weight

Excellent cross tires
These are great cyclocross ties. I'm one of those riders who uses one pair of tires all cross season long. I needed something that can handle all conditions well and the Mud 2's satisfy all riding conditions. I've already noticed how well they handle in the tight corners. Overall excellent tires.

My go to tire
These tires are my go-to clinchers for most situations. You can really feel the high tpi when cornering as they roll very smoothly. Good traction in dirt, grass, and loose gravel without being too slow on hardpack or solid surfaces. I just wish I could get them in a size bigger than 30mm.

Beware cornering on asphalt
I only have about 30 miles on this tire which I have on the rear with a victoria on the front. I primarily use this on pavement / bike path , road, and some groomed fire road. On fresh dry asphalt and no sand the rear tire totally washed out on me laying the bike down leaving me with some real nice road rash. Pressure was at 65 for max speed . IMO this tire is not an all arounder. Maybe they corner well on soft dirt ? I plan to replace this tire.

Not that great
I've raced a full season on these tires. For something that has the reputation of being the go-to mud clincher for cyclocross they don't hook up that well in the mud. Initially grip isn't too bad but they pack up easily and won't self-clean. In dry corners and conditions these tires do not inspire confidence. The shoulder blocks aren't aggressive enough and a slide out is likely if you really push it.

PROS: Works Ok In Light Mud, Can Be Aired Up Tubeless

CONS: Limited Grip On Grass, Tires Pack Up Easily
