After reading alot of comments in reviews about issues with these shoes not fitting, I almost didn't buy them. But everyone seemed to like their big brothers, the alpine and alpine XL, built up from the same sole and key features. And the price kept luring me back. So, I called JensonUSA and asked them about sizing. Bottom line, I wear a 9.5US, and I ordered a 9.5US. They fit perfect. My wife thinks I have fat flinstone feet, but I've seen wider feet than mine. I would say my feet are normal. Apparently some people with fat feet should go try shoes on in a store.
I use these with m530 pedals, no problems. I mostly ride rocky desert cross country, all mountain and mild downhill trails at Bootleg Canyon. The rubber soles are more reassuring than cleats when you step onto rocks and boulders. The soles have some flex, but seem stiff enough on the bike. I am an aggressive weekend rider, so these are great for me. Obviously this is not a competitive racing shoe. Again, I feel safer in these for where I ride, at my amateur riding level. Very comfortable from day 1, breathe well in hot climates. For the price, this is a sweet trail shoe.

These shoes are complete junk. Mavic needs to stick with what they know (rims) and not try to make shoes. The metal plates that the cleats screw into are not made well (they are misaligned and curved too far outward/downward). When you screw the cleats in they do not even sit flush and they extend past the tread line. Both my clips are sitting cockeyed and extend beyond the shoe tread. This wouldn't be a huge issue if the "hard" insert under the sole was stiffer but it is so flimsy that I can feel the ground pushing the cleats up into my feet when I walk. Try again Mavic, but you won't see me buying another pair of Mavic shoes any time soon.

I bought these since I liked the way they looked and they were on sale andit never hurts to have too many shoes. Mavic is owned by Adidas and so is Salomon and I have had great luck with their products in the past so I figured what the hell. I race DH and Enduro in clipless and I'm not into the skate shoe look but wanted something with better grip when hiking or crashing on rocks and something that would have a better sole for my Crank Brothers Mallet pedals. These are great shoes no matter the price! They look good, they have a slightly softer sole for better grip on rocks, and the shoe runs wider than most SPD shoes I have owned (Specialized, Nike, Shimano, Diadora) so I have been MORE than happy with these shoes. So far, after 5 months of use, they are the best shoes I have owned all around.

Excellent mtb spd shoe for the price! Obviously not as comfortable as a other higher end products, the laces specifically. Has very good grip with mavic's 'contagrip'.
I really like the color of the shoes, nothing flashy, look like trekking shoes.
Have them paired with shimano clip pedals, work great!

Comments about Mavic Cruize Shoes 2012:

my feet are narrow and bony, and these shoes fit nicely, very comfortable. Usually size 10 addidas fits me best, but I bought these at 10.5 US and they are just right.
